Our Rank Structure and Its Usage Empty Our Rank Structure and Its Usage

I'll just say right now, that we don't use the rank structure to bully people about or go on a little power trip... it's just to add some sort of order to the unit when we're in-game, and so everyone knows who to listen to when the bullets start flying Wink

So here it is, descending in order of rank:

    Second Lieutenant (2ndLT)

    Corporal (Cpl)

    Lance Corporal (LCpl)

    Private (Pvt)

    Cadet (Cad)

The reason there are no other ranks, or missing ranks, is because we simply have no need for them at this time.

Now just to give a quick run-through of each rank and their responsibilities, if you will, it's fairly easy to understand... the 2nd Lieutenant oversees the Pathfinders' platoon, which will ultimately consist of roughly thirty-two soldiers, made up of four SECTIONS (there's your word of the day), each section consisting of eight soldiers, commanded by a Corporal, with a Lance Corporal as his second-in-command, and six Privates.

Each section may be split into two four-man fireteams at some points during game-play, one being commanded by the Corporal, and the other by his Lance Corporal.

Most battles won't consist of more than one or two sections in combat, as this is a realism unit, we want to keep it fairly realistic.

Assuming you have a basic knowledge of tactics/structure/warfare, then everything should make some sense, but if you have any questions, it's always best to ask ^^
